However, this activity is not limited to complying with the strict environmental requirements; we are committed to protecting our environment even beyond regulations.
We renewed the 1500 m² basement under our warehouse in 2007 and established a central wastewater treatment system here. It treats wastewater generated in the factory and enables us to reuse cleared water further down in the production line several times, thus decreasing water consumption and the volume of outgoing wastewater.
We assure with the most modern vacuum distillation equipments that the hazardous material content of our wastewater is far below the permitted limits.
Our aim is to introduce low-waste processes. The inevitably generated waste is disposed of by specialized companies.
When modernising existing technologies or planning new investments, we pay special attention to energy saving and keeping air pollution and noise level of the processes as low as possible.
Kenvéd has been operating an environment management system certified to ISO 14001 since 2004.
According to the REACH regulations we are considered as downstream users with no obligation for registration. Nevertheless we expect our suppliers to provide continuous information about their REACH-activities and we assure the information flow towards our customers.
